Water misters, wine and food have a way of making an event held on a day that was 106 degrees not just tolerable but downright enjoyable. More than 500 guests sipped wine and sampled food from 30 wineries and 17 restaurants at the 18th annual Wine At Town Center event in El Dorado Hills. Sponsored by the Cameron Park and El Dorado Hills Rotary Clubs this charitable mixer delivered a bottomless glass and plate to all who attended allowing them to sample every delicious morsel of food and drop of wine served.
With an outdoor wide open venue including a gorgeous all over view of the Town Center in El Dorado Hills, visitors drank in the visual and palatable nuances of the day. Music from Tim Dirkes and The Used Blues Band filled the warm air with beautiful melodies and although chairs were provided no one utilized them. Sports memorabilia was auctioned off to the highest bidders. Even with the excessive heat of the day everyone enjoyed themselves at this Rotary Club International gathering and were more than happy to eat, drink, and give to charity.
