Everyone’s welcome to join the Sacramento Walking Sticks to welcome in the New Year. We will be hosting New Year’s Eve 2017 with a 3 and 6 mile route that will take you through the brightest and most celebratory streets of downtown Sacramento to enjoy the spirit of the New Year. Come back the following morning to start your New Year in 2018 with a 3 or 6 mile route; these will tour you through the new murals on walls all around the Midtown area. You’ll see many other enjoyable art works in sculptures, quirky bike racks and call boxes. This is a fun walk and a feast for the eyes.
The New Year’s Eve registration is between 5-6:00 PM; please bring a flashlight with you. New Year’s Day registration is between 9:00 AM-12:00 Noon. Both events are rated a 1A and would be fine for strollers and wheelchairs; dogs on leash are welcome but not allowed inside the Church. These events will take place even if it rains, just wear your poncho and put up your umbrella. Our walks are not-timed and are FREE to the public. We want people to get out and move, see the sights in their city and come back to enjoy more walks with our club. Call Barbara Nuss, 916.283.4650, with questions.
