Skatetown’s 10th Annual Costume Skate Party

Resident ghosts chilled nerves and spooked the senses of skaters at the 10th Annual Halloween Costume Skate Party at Skatetown Ice Arena in Roseville on October 19th. The freakishly fun evening was filled with ghostly games, special scary snack bar smoothie flavors (Cookie Monster & Peach-A-Boo), laser light shows, and snowball fights. Decrepit DJs Mike & Stephen rattled eardrums with family-friendly Halloween music and scary sound effects. Thanks to the extra efforts of many costumed guests, the “attendance” list included Super Chicken, Mario, witches, vampires, Katie Perry, Cupcakes, and The Green Lantern! Hockey players Yannic Lavoie, Alex Vigil, Lucian Wiemer, Allen Khayet, and Aden Poggenpohl of Skatetown Youth House Hockey Mites (led by Coach Dominic Lavoie) wowed the crowd when they performed hockey skills & drills. Later, figure skater Bella Martinez dazzled everyone with a flawless figure skating program. Skatetown is a family-fun venue for ice skating, hockey, classes, birthday parties, school field trips, curling, broom ball, and more, and is a frequently used venue for many non-profit sports organizations as their “go to” place when hosting fundraising events.
